I grew up in Green, Ohio and went to Green High School. My first experience with working out came when I tore my ACL in 8th grade when I went up for a dunk during my game. Needless to say, I missed the dunk and was out for 6 months after my surgery. Dumb, I know. That started me on this journey of lifting weights, which grew out of my rehab. I started like any middle school boy does with reading everything about Arnold Schwarzenegger. The body building style of working out that Arnold preached helped me put on muscle, but it wasn’t until much later that I learned how to really develop as an athlete.
In college playing Division 1 baseball, I was introduced to actually having to squat, develop my leg strength, and produce athletic power. I fell in love with Olympic lifting and saw my explosiveness skyrocket. Not only were they fun and challenging lifts, they had a direct carry over to my baseball career. After college, I continued to develop these lifts because of the energy they brought me. I went on to train with some national level coaches and got my advanced sports performance certification from United States Weightlifting. With a background in bodybuilding, power lifting, sprinting, sport specific training, and now Olympic lifting, I believe I can help any athlete achieve their goal.
